This is my entry for this contest: forums.fanart-central.net/viewtopic.php?t=38418
today it is raining and I decided to put my xiyo figurine in a flower pot outside to take a photograph of real rain. I like the drops of rain in the plant and on the xiyo's umbrella and boots.
I sculpted the xiyo with plastilina jovi (kindof modelling paste akin to clay) I didn't know that sculpting an umbrella would be so difficult. This one didn't turn out as well as I would like. Plastilina jovi melts when it is wet so it was a good idea to put the xiyo under the plant to protect it while I was taking the photograph.
Xiyos are characters I created to play when I was younger. Instead of buying doll and playing with them I sculpted my own toys.
Here you have more info about them: www.fanart-central.net/pic-671936.html
Wao, I saw the water and I was thinking, I wonder if that's harmful to the clay. I guess it kind of is LOOL! Ohh, neato, I didn't know you made your own toys as a kid, that's pretty awesome! Anyways, the idea is really neat and I lurve the water droplets on the leaves. This piccy is uber lovely!
