One of my friends suggested this. Auburn's job is to help keep the Hero of Time from dying along his travels, and he figured that maybe the girl might... butt heads with Shiek along the way.<br />

On a note, a lot of this story was inspired by the LoZ: OoT manga, within which Shiek is "working" for Ganondorf... Auburn's daddy! Of course she'd not trust him!<br />

I do kind of like the quote that goes with this, though.<br />
