Jesus... I wouldn't have the patience for something like that. She does have a kinnda dull look in her face, but hey, that's Heather. I like the mirrors and all the details in the background... Theres just such life to it, and such death... you know? It really has emotions in it. Great job man, I would have that framed.

I really like the intense, pathetic look on her face. She really does look freightened. Though the monsters in the background (or dolls?) don't really give the Silent Hill vibe, but who cares I guess. Great job. tortillon? I'm not sure what that is, but I used a couple blending stumps to shade it.

One was really fat, probably slightly fatter than the width of a thumb.. and one was really thin, maybe pencil width.

Both were equal in length, which was the length of a pencil.

Hey, sorry I forgot to comment. Anyway, I love the shading and all the details in the background. Urrgh... I pretty bad with backgrounds. I ought to practice people more. I may not be a Silent Hill fan, but I know that Heather looks different, but it's pretty close enough to what she really looks. There's also something with her eyes. Something like a dizzy look. But anyway, it's a great, awesome pic!

I have to say I'm in complete disagreement with you on that one.



based on my anatomical calculations:



the top of her head to her chin. That same distance from her chin down crosses the lower part of her pecs. That's less distance than it would be in real life (point for it not being small number 1)



and point 2: since I always narrow shoulders and the rib-cage of a short haired tomboy (to make them petite)..the head's even bigger looking.



there's no possible way it can be too small. If anything, it's too big. If I made it any bigger she'd be close to being super deformed.



normally I don't go out of my way to "defend" a comment but I had to point that out since it was so easy to do so.

Heather's head is a little small, and she looks a little japanese (which is good), but I LOVE the deatails you put in it!! This is a piece worth treasuring!!

i used to like Resident Evil the best, but after SH3, my favorite is now the Silent Hill series (well.. 3 is great).



i've played all of them tho. This pic would have gotten done faster but i was doing other things on the side so yeah it prolly took 8 hours or so.

Man... how long does it take you to crank out this level of pencil work... 6-7 hours? The bad guy looks like a marionette from devil may cry. I think the colar on her vest is sweet. I really do not care for the series though, the enemies look like meat hunks. My friend loves the games, and I watched him play through parts. The 2nd game had these things I came to call butt demons. And the 3rd had these things... eesh that looked like they had huge meaty slongs for heads. Anyway good picture. I will say the character was a nice design. My favorite survival horror game though was a game called Enemy Zero, I think it puts RE and SH to shame. Paying a little more attention to the background I also noticed a guy in a window, heh. This picture does her justice, nuf said.
