I did work my hardest but I am not good at takeing compliments I have low confidence in myself and my skills though I do have some likeing for the picture and am proud of it even though I hate most of my art

Lazyness only matters if it detracts from the finished peice...which yours apparently doesn't. I don't think you're giving yopurself enough credit for what you've got here. IT'S AWESOME MAN!! XD

(sounds to me like you feel guilty 'bout getting all these nice comments and not feeling like you pourd your whole soul out over this thing, like so many other ppl brag about having done over their work. ne?)
oekaki is a japanese word meaning doodle but when people speak of oekaki online they are speaking of the online java bassed drawing programs people use to draw and post thier images on a BBS
na first scribbled a background then switched layers and did a solid version of the dragon showing where he would be in the image but stull being able to erace without messing up the bg sketch
after haveing the dragon layed out I united the layers to the bg layer and worked on shading the dragon think I might have drawn his eye first I cant remember but I worked on his head and went from there once all the shadow was layed out I did the highlights on his fur and more detailing
once the dragon was done I worked on the background changeing my mind about it I added trees and such thelighting of sun shineing threw was sort of me being lazy and not wanting to detail the background any more lol
the last thing I worked on was the water which if ya watch the animation shows I had trouble with it haha

I didn't understand what you ment by "animation". I thought it was an animated gif or something. :3
Soooo, you actualy draw the lighting -first-, the shadows next, and then alternate detail & additional shadowing....
And correct me if I'm wrong, but you just scribble around at first untill it starts to give you ideas? cool. :)
