My friend who works at the movie theater is in love with Johnny Depp (ok, me too, but I prefer his Captain Jack look) and particularly fancies him as Willy Wonka O_o

I don't know how to draw any way other than anime-style (lol), so I decided to draw this for her since she gave me a free Van Helsing wall banner that's big enough to cover the broad side of an elephant's butt ^_^ This pic took me about 15 minutes (again, no reference), which is why the quality is rather substandard, but it's cute except for the fact that I'm again considering destroying my scanner for its mutilating lines!!! Grrr...

Personally i likes the lines. it gives it a movie theater look. like hes gonna start moving around and explain what kind of candy this or that is. it gives it a real life effect.

Lol! I know what you mean. I think Johnny does an amazing job becoming his characters, which is what makes him such a great actor ^_^
Although I still love Gene Wilder's Wonka the best ;)

*droolage* I LOOOOVE Depp as Willy Wonka... When I see him as Willy Wonka, I TOTALLY forget that it's Depp. I see just... Wonka. The whole character and no one else. THAT'S what makes a GREAT actor/actress for a character. When you pic the right one and then you totally forget that's who it is because the character takes over. I like that. ANYWAYS, I'm just babbling, so I'm gonna fav this now. XD *huggles Willeh*

Yes, I will always love Johnny as Captain Jack, although I'vwe been a fan for years and think he's an amazing actor in general; I just thought that his character didn't carry the movie (Chocolate Factory). And I'll always be loyal to good ole Gene Wilder anyways ^_^

You've captured Depp Wonka's freakiness perfectly. Yeah, Wonka is my favorite character in the story and I happen to hate how Depp handled him in this movie. (Depp will always be Jack Sparrow to me.) No offense to your artwork ofcourse. I simply love that candy backround!
