"There was a picture of a Women smirking in front of a old car, wearing a light-colored dress with padded sholders. Her expression said 'Don't you dare take this picture,'.... She was more or less missing a chin, but even so she was above-average pretty." From The Secret Life of Bees pg 13
Yup this is the pic I talked about in this in this journal entry: altegogrl13.deviantart.com/journal/10368964/ It's for a school project but I realised that one of the 100 theme challange pictures in photograph so I killed two birds with one stone and created this pic! Couple poins I want to bring up.
#1. I of course tried for a Sepia effect with my new Sepia pastel pencils.
#2. I tried realism (again obvious) I've only seriously tried realism a few times before and facial expressions about once. So it came out pretty good
#3. I tried to shade her skin for lighting effects it didn't quite work
#4. For the care references this pic: www.imperialclub.org/~imperialclub/Yr/1951/SpottersGuide/1951.jpg It turned out better than I thought
One boy (who I really don't talk to that much.) Said he'd bet money I'd get an A just by looking at this pic. What do you think?
Totally! I want to redo it though. It's not quite accurate If the project wasn't due Tuesday I might. I lost all the stones for my model of the wailing wall and I need to find some more.
wow, that sux..im gonna do the cd thing for that project....ive only got four songs though..XC...oh wells..... so ..um....yeah..i wish i had sepia pencils...
