Once apon a time there were two sisters named Snow-White, for her skin was as white as a white rose, and Rose-Red for for she ran about so tirelessly that her skin was as flushed as a scarlet rose...

^^That's the full story. I believe Snow-White and Rose-Red is one of those least-known fairy tales...

The part about their skins, I got that from a different version of the story. This Snow-White doesn't necessarily have ebony hair, so don't complain to me about that... -_-;

Also, I made them look slighty older here. I think they're supposed to be children in the story.

Oh, and they're supposedly lying down on red and "white" rose petals... My scanner killed my pic again.

For a fairy-tale contest. If you look closely, this pic is a rip-off of several of my original pics. I'm starting to run out of fresh ideas...

I had a book with a tale about these characters. You drew them beautifully. The composition and shades of colors are just wonderful.

i remember this story! I read it a few months ago, i was really shocked to find out snow white had a sis... I stole the book from school after i graduated XD cute pic. so very shoujo manga looking. luvs it!

Hehe... I know... But anyway, the Snow White here is blonde XD.

As a child, when I first saw them in a story book, I was complaining to myself about why Snow-White was blonde. lolz..
