Some of you might remember I did a drawing for a friend who is writing a series of childrens' books. (See "from inside the tiniest house"). This is his belated xmas gift.

This wee dude is the same character, but cruising the forests atop his owly buddy. I had great difficulty with this one, purely because of that owl! I've never even attempted one before, so she's not perfect, but it'll have to do - considering I don't really draw animals.
For effect, I added in the Northen Lights - I reckon without that, this pic would've been so flat.

I'm gonna discourage in-depth critique, not only for that reason but because of the personal nature of this pic. Thanks ;-)

AW! I love the light-hearted feel of this picture. It's really cute. <3 The Northern Lights look spectacular back there. And this little guy... I totally want to read the books, now. But what is that little sparkle that flew up to his face? Nice job. =33

well i have no critique! i think this pic is awesome :O and for a first time with the owl i think you did a great job~
