you might want to add a little color
color add vibrancy and enhances the figure

I hope you don't mind, but reading the quote "paint yourself a lovely shade of red" made me think of a picture, so I drew and CGed it. I'm going to add it tomorrow. I hope you don't mind, and don't worry, I'll give you credit for the quote. I'm going to name the picture the same name, if you don't mind that, also. ^^
