What's this? THREE in one day? Egads! Oh well, it'll never happen again...

So, my AM art teacher makes us do an oil painting. She makes us have a photo reference. She only lets me not trace it when I asked. Yay. So this IS NOT TRACED BEFOREHAND. Okay. Had to get that out.

I went into this painting thinking I wanted to do a well-known Hyung Tae-Kim picture in my style, which is difficult seeing as how much I despise oils (acrylic freak present!), but I think I did okay. That is, until I lost my reference and suddenly got so sick of it that I had to hurry through the rest to insure that I didn't burn it or something. >_>

Sorry it's blurry. I had to take a picture of it and I suck with digital cameras. That and I realize that the building suddenly starts slanting in the wrong direction and that the girl is insanely off. But I was stupid and didn't sketch out my composition like I normally do, so...eh.

You don't like oil? Oil > acrylic... god I hate acrylic, I had to paint a marsh-landscape in acrylic for this 5 person art project, it was done on these five huge pieces of plywood that were painted white.... I re-painted 3-5 times... acrylic sucks so bad...

Oil is just...ugh, I don't hate it NEARLY as much as I used to, but acrylics just seem so much easier to use for me and give off a much more interesting texture. That and I don't have to use linseed oil. X_X

Thank you! I actually have a lot of difficulties with oils and can't seem to develop my own way of painting with them yet. ;_; I need more practice, but I'm too lazy. XD

The truth of the matter is that I actually paint a lot. Like...everyday of the schoolweek, give or take a day (just second semester, though). It's just that my teachers don't normally hand back paintings until the end of the year, so I don't get to see much of them. XD

This is amazing! The colours and the shading is so good! The picture has this aura around it self.. like.. it's imposible to not like it! I LOVE IT!

Thank you very much! Though I myself have grown quite sick of it over the period of time I've been working on it. D: FAR TOO LONG~

But as for the monochromatic coloring...it was kinda' the main pint of the assignment. ^_^;;; So not so much as creative as following the rules, but thanks anyway. XD

Oils are EVIL WOMAN. EVIIIIL. D: And now I don't have to paint in oil till next year...<3
