After trying to color this lineart four different ways and not wanting to finish any of them...this is what turns out. Weird. But I reeeeeeeally was happy with how the lineart turned out, so...eh.
So yeah. Julien (left) and Kaedyn (right) in what is the closest I've been able to get to their actual characters... ever. Julien's supposed to be one of those stick types: insanely skinny and freakishly tall, but comfortable with it. Kaedyn's just supposed to be a dork. >_>
And yes, I have developed my characters' signatures. XD And Kaedyn's is about a fourth as bad as mine (mine looks like a big scribble, honestly). But I've always loved Julien's. XD

The, their clothes, and long gangly limbs (which I like, btw :3 ) and faces!! I love your faces all the time, but these are particularly well done. :)

Clean lineart has always been a challenge for me, so I try to do it from time to time to make sure that my sketchy style has a plausible basis in its madness. If that made ANY sense at all. XDI honestly tried to do the most...finite, I guess, lineart I've ever done, so thanks a lot for the comment. ^_^

Nah, they're actually best firends, but they love to get on each other's nerves and know how to do it REALLY well. XDAnd thanks! The clothing planning took so long because I normally just draw pants ad a t-shirt. Soooo much easier, I say. D:

Uh...26? Not too many (for something like this, anyway). The lineart was maybe 9, and I started shading each individual shade its own layer at first, but then decided to finish it all on one layer, so that was 9. And then I did the signatures on their own layers, so 2, then each "colored" one has its own, so 2, then the borders have their own, so 4. So altogether it was 26, but I merged the lineart together after I finished it, of course, so I think the most I had at one point was 14. (Before I saved it there were only 11 layers up). I don't see how you can't use more then 6 layers. D: Layers are my lifeline, dangit. XD One of these days I'll teach you of their ultimate power~~~!!
