Sweet peaceful moments

Request from SemariYiuchi, featuring her OC, Sem, with Sasuke.

Once again, there was a good share of new things I've learned:

- Working on poses has started to bring very positive results
- My first animal ears/tail ever ! 'turned okay, but it was too dark at first. I've had to lighten it quite a bit, and it lost of its original details.
- A new shadow technique gives great results. I'd usually just shadow gradually the parts where the light source wouldn't reach, but it seems it's not the way it is meant to be. it should be more... light on one side, shadow, then LESS shadow at the other side. I can now say it WORKS ! And it improves the final result as well.
- Second try at metallic object. It's okay, I guess.

That's about it ! 'hope it'll please you, Semari, and the other watchers as well. ^^

I think you did a wonderful job. It's shaded beautifully and the poses are quite top notch along with Sem's outfit. Very well done on all parts.

I'm glad you like it. I didn't know if it was okay for me to take some liberties, like the way I drew the ears, or the clothes' colors, or the made-up boots, so it could've turned into something you wished I hadn't made after all. ^^'

Which color would "calm/happiness" would be then ?

I've spotted a few details I had to edit anyway, so I can make a small color change while I'm at it.

There you go. Orange it is. I've added some missing shadings, and adjusted Sasuke's eyes that were a bit too far one from another.

I love to think of my style as a "realistic anime" one, so your comment is right what I hoped to hear. ^_-

As I'm still at my first few tries on poses, being complimented on it feels a bit surreal, and makes me want to shout "SUCCESS!", deep inside of me. I'm glad you like it !

Yeah, I've hear about it (though I'm not following Naruto myself). It's always heartbreaking to have good characters turn evil or mad. It kind of make us realize how twisted humanity can become, and make us feel vulnerable to dark feelings.

If he looks innocent enough, then I'm happy. That's how I love my drawings. ^^'
