Request for : Kelalailea
I jope you'll like it, even though it doesn't look THAT lolita-like.

Haaaaaaaaaaa~ Finished.

It was supposed to be a lolita, yet I'm not too sure if it can still be considered as such. I did my best, but am not familiar enough with the lolita style do do a better job at it... yet ! As it was the main part of the request, I'm afraid to have missed the point. We'll know soon enough. ^^'

On this artwork, I've mostly been training : transparency effects, character pose, frilly (pink) things, bows and wavy hair.

Any comment is welcome !

KelalaileaHey Hannah, doesn't it look like she's doing a little nyappy sign with her fingers on the hand that's holding the parisol?

AndellGlad to hear it. ^^ I've been trying to keep it simple while adding enough details to bring out the general lolita style. It was hard to balance all the transparency, frilling, colors and textures into an appreciable outfit, all while staying in my drawing style. ^_-

AndellI love how cute she turned out myself ! XD

I've been wondering how to draw efficiently the parasol without ruining the whole feeling of the drawing. Even now I can't say if I could have done it better or not, but at least it merges right with the outfit and general design, which is, I think, the most important. ^^

KelalaileaTHIS IS SOOOO CUTE! :3
You know what's funny is this loli girl looks like me (minus the big bow I wear on my head every day). ^^
It is definitely lolita, because the main point of lolita fashion is to get that bell shaped skirt. It looks awesome. *fave!*

AndellI'll take it's up to your expectations, then. ^^ By the way, were you hoping for her to look like you when you asked for the request ? :p

I've been hesitating about whether or not I'd put something in her hair for a while. I knew most of lolis do wear something on their head, but with the way the piggytails turned out, I figured adding anything more on the head would just... 'feel heavy' and concentrate details on one part of the drawing instead of one the whole.

... that and for a more selfish reason: I'm not too fond of anything frilly going upside rather than downside. ^^'

'glad it's a lolita alright !

KelalaileaOh, no I don't think I did ask for it to look like me. It just turned out lucky I guess. ^^
