Auron #1

Auron is by far my favorite game character to date. I have been a longtime lurker of this place, but couldn't draw or anything. I was, however, pretty good with a mouse, so I decided to recreate this pose from when Auron appears at the stadium in Luca.<br />

It was done in Microsoft Paint, with a mouse, and took 40 to 50 days to complete. I origianlly did have the background, but not only was it insanely hard to do, but it ended up taking emphasis from Auron. And of course, since this was originally .bmp, when I converted it to .jpg, there was some blurring of colors, but the original is all solid. The great thing about doing it that way is that I ended up making what is like a page in a coloring book.<br />

I really like how his left eye and eyebrow turned out. The only thing that I am disappointed about really is his hand, which I will never get right, especially in paint. The hand and the sword were both done when I was feeling excited about seeing it done and rushed a bit.<br />

All in all, I'm pretty satisfied. I have already started on another of Auron, one of Ada Wong from Resident Evil 4, and one of Link and Shiek from Ocarina of Time.<br />
