Kai in the Woods

I must have worked 2+ hours on this picture, because when I was finished, It was almost 1:00 AM!<br />

I've recently been practicing drawing Kai from Beyblade a few days ago. I just decided to draw him in a different position--in this case, hugging his knees. It turned out better than I thought it would since I was just practicing.<br />

Then it occurred to me: Why not have him leaning against something, like a tree? Having a character leaning against a tree is pretty typical for a lot of artists, lol, so I figured I should add something more to the picture.<br />

This was about when I began to realize that the picture was going to turn into the best picture i've ever drawn of any anime character!! I added some color to it.<br />

If you look hard enough, it looks somewhat like watercolor in some places, and that's because the colored pencil is SO thick on the paper, lol. I also used multiple colors.<br />
<br />
Notice that Kai stands out a LITTLE differently from everything else... that's because he's the only thing on that paper that's outlined in Pen, ^_^<br />

I'm going to touch it up with Paint Shop Pro when I get time.
