Aoshi

My original yoshi... Despite having a boy-sounding name, Aoshi is actually "female" (or as female as a member of an asexual species can be). Other than the bow, her voice sounds like a girl and those are pretty much the only clues as she is otherwise similar to the other yoshis in appearance.

She is a light blue or cyan yoshi. Her head-spikes are longer and thinner than those of most yoshies hinting that, similarly to Boshi, she might not be a pure breed yoshi. She has seven dark blue head-spikes with the first three being noticeably longer than the lower four. Her eyes are the standard black color that most yoshies have. Sher wears hot pink boots with white soles and a whit lined light purple saddle.

Her bow is tied to her top three head-spikes which are rooted close together in the top-back of her head. The ribbon in yellow with a single orange line in the middle through its length. It was given to her by princess Daisy as thanks for helping her recover her crown. Aoshi met Daisy when she was vacationing at Yoshi's Island. The princess' crown was stolen by a mischievous band of monkey, whom Aoshi was chasing after because they stole her watermelon. Daisy and Aoshi joined forces and managed to recover the crown. Daisy gave Aoshi a ribbon and invited her to dinner as thanks for helping her teach those annoying monkeys a lesson.

Aoshi's name is a combination of ao (blue in Japanese) and shi for yoshi. She likes grapes, watermelons, cookies, cakes, ice-cream and most baked sweet goodies. Like any other yoshi, she had a long tongue and a big appetite. Though she seems to not get along with Boshi, she actually likes him, though most of the time she acts as if she likes Yoshi (the green one), who she does admire, but only that.
