o thanks, amy! um haha this isn't charcoal, tho- just plain, number 2 pencil. eww i forgot my eraser and pencil sharpener that day, tho (i was stuck after skool), so i did most of it with a mechanical pencil and a rather dinky eraser that i stole from a freshman friend. hehe then i smudged everything with my fingers

Thats cool, I'll keep putting in my 2 cents as long as you think it is worth it. I, myself, am by no means a professional or anything so I can't promise much, but I'll try ;)

o and yea i thought about having a more flowing shirt, but i didn't want there to be too many things being affected by the wind. and i didn't want to overdo the laces so i didn't make them on her left arm. (i tried to even out the motion, i guess)

i always have a hard time doing the shoulders from this point of view, and yea i see that i kinda messed it up... um can't we just say her shoulders are slouching? heh heh. o and i believe the light source is from the left and above. (the scanner didn't pick up most of my shading on her)

and um your welcome? lol thank you for commenting on this pic! you really have helped me improve, too, i think. because you've encouraged me to try backgrounds and do more original stuff, as well as work on the details of proportions and perspective.
This is actually one of my favorite pictures you've drawn =) Even out of the ones you've based off of other pictures. True, your have more precise and greater detail with the ones you base off of other pics, but when you just draw freeform then you come out in what you draw. Thanks for drawing this pic!
Sorry for being picky again =P But if the viewpoint we are watching from is lower than the person we are viewing then, because of the whole vanishing point thing, her far shoulder would be lower than her closer shoulder and her far boot will be higher than her closer boot (You did that last part). The only exception is if she is in a different position than being idle. If she bent her right knee and just slouched that part down then her far shoulder could be higher. There are many different possible ways to position the pose to adjust the placing of the different parts of the body, but that one was just the easiest one to explain for this pose.

Is the light source above, to the right and behind us (The viewpoint)?

This one is very pretty =) The background and shading on the ground adds a lot to the picture without taking away from the focus (the girl). You also did the shading, hair and skirt very well =)

Very good proportions =) The legs are about 20% longer than average but that is ok because if you drew everyone the same then you would just have a lot of the same character. The variations are what make the characters unique. Though you don't want to press the boundaries too far.

The wind effect is very cool =) You did it well. My friends hate watching movies with me because I always point out what logically is impossible in the movies. Even though the movies are just fine with these logical impossibilities it would probably be better with them fixed (You know, in case people like me watch them and say "Ha! That's wrong!" ;)) Well with that said, I know like almost no one would catch it and I'm really being picky but if there was enough wind to blow her hair, necklace and the strings to almost horizontal positions then she would probably topple over, or at least not just be casually standing there. Also, most necklaces are made from relatively heavy materials (My sis has some feather necklaces, but those aren't too common). So the necklace would probably be the least effected by the wind.
