BattouThe amount of curvature is indicitive of how many times the steel has been folded. The more folds the greater the curvature.

TeeJay87I think the blade is as curved as it should be. I've seen photos of various Japanese swords and such weapons in museums - they tend to vary in curvature, depending on period they come from and smith responsible for crafting them.
