Did this for my 'O' levels.<br />
Okita Soushi, 1st captain of the Shinsen-gumi. Was the youngest and supposedly the strongest. Suffered from TB and was reduced to nothing but skin and bones at the time of Kondou Isami's capture and eventual execution. He died trying to kill a cat, probably for consumption.<br />
Okita looks cool here. A little too much blood however. Anyway, Kondou was the leader of the Shinsen-gumi. And the words on Okita's breastplate are: Makoto (honour)

It's shameful that one of the greatest warriors in history (At least I think so!)could be reduced to such a state...some Age of Enlightenment...of course, the U.S. hasn't done much better, no nation has.
