OscarXBrimstone - Feeling the baby

Brimstone lifted her shirt so she wouldn't overheat. She then winced when the baby kicked her a little too hard. "Easy, little one. Don't want you to be premature.", she chuckled as she rubbed her bulging stomach. As if on instinct, Oscar opened the door and stood in the doorway, unable to tear his eyes away from Brim's stomach. She looked up and smiled, her aquamarine eyes gleamed as she patted the bed. "Come here. Don't you wanna feel our baby?", she said lovingly, keeping her gaze on Oscar. But he stood where he was, feeling regret and worry course through his body. "I-I thought you hated me.", he said with a slight saddened tone, his scar glimmered in the sunlight that shone into the room from the windows close to the bed. Brim smiled and raised her left hand, showing the band of platinum with engravings lined with pearl. "You are nothing​ like Trent, trust me. I wouldn't be wearing this mate ring if I did hate you.", Brim said with a smile, patting the bed again to lure Oscar to it. But he didn't budge from where he stood. "But, Brim... I don't-", he stopped himself from finishing the sentence, knowing that he doesn't want to hurt her, no matter how much he loves Brim. She shook her head smiling, "Will you get over here and feel the baby, already?", Brimstone laughed, raising an eyebrow. Oscar laughed lightly, then closed the door behind him before sitting on the bed and placing a hand on Brim's stomach. Brim put her hand on his, and they both felt the baby give a little kick. "Heh. He's a kicker.", Oscar said with a smile as they both watched the baby give light kicks every now and then, Brim nodding in agreement.
