This was a picture I was planning on drawing for quite a while.... HeiBai is always surprising me with wonderful art so I was going to draw her something in return!

Anyway, this is my character, Tez and HeiBai's character, Astrid.
I'm not sure what they're doing aside from having a nice conversation, I figure the two would get along quite well, their personalities seem similar enough. :3

And lab coats are still loads of fun to draw...Tez looks so ridiculous next to Astrid with her fantasy-ish look, where as Astrid could conceivably be a real doctor. It was fun drawing different styles of coats though. (I enjoy the most random things)

I ended up trying a whole buncha new stuff with this picture art-wise. I've been meaning to try some of this out for a while. Like the main thing I did- color with marker then go back and detail with colored pencil. I really liked how that worked with the hair, and it gave everything else a more solid color, but...I dunno, I'm kinda iffy on weather or not I'll do this in the future for anything but hair.
And lol...the poses are referenced. Mom threw a fatty Macy's catalogue at me and told me to find some nice clothes....which I didn't do. I got distracted by the nice drawing references...XD

Anyway, as usual the scanner ate the colors.....Grrrr....

Rei_Anul_SamaVery nice, I love the poses. The coloring is awsome, maybe I'll try the marker-colored pencil mix. :D

BladeThanks!
The idea behind markers and colored pencils is really that it allows you to get solid color and detail without using all of your colored pencils, it works pretty well, I just need to practice with it. Alternatively I've heard of people doing something similar with watercolors.
