Fairly... but Dark moves are super-effective against Ghosts. Quite a lot of the Ghost Pokemon seem pretty "dark" though, so there's probably not much difference.

Yeah, always found the Normal Types a bit... strange. At least they're immune to Ghost attacks.

The only reason I can think of for the invention of Dark Types is their immunity to Psychic attacks. In the Red/Blue versions, Psychics were so powerful it was almost unfair...

Good luck with the move to North Carolina. Eek, 4am and a nine hour ride... and I thought getting up at six with an hour-long trip to university was bad enough...
