Description

New pokemon design. Also the first - and probably last - to be ranked for nudity, even if it is only mild. Maybe now would be a good time to stop drawing 'em before they turn disturbing... o_0' This one's name is a combination of the words twirl and coquette, a girlishly flirty woman.

0.3 mechanical pencil, 0.1 drawing pen, felt tip and metallic markers. Background added with Ulead Photo Express 2. Comments welcome! :)

Mischievous and flighty, these curious creatures entrance with their flirty moves and cheeky dress sense before laying the smack down.
Coqetwirl are able to defy gravity by somehow keeping airborne despite having only one wing. They’re most commonly seen flittering out of the overgrowth, spiralling upwards, rotating elegantly as they flit skywards.

She came out quite a bit pinker than I expected. I wanted her to be more metallic-lilac, but I don't have any metallic pink/purple markers... this was the "closest" colour match I could find... which isn't really that close.

Pink Metal? if I try the color system like that I usually mix pink with a little greyish color and add a little shine. It's a little easier to mix the colors on paper but the colors usually come out sharper and better on the computer. >> but, I'm a picture editor (not a very good one either) so what would I know? ^^....T^T

Thanks for the advice... maybe it's just the markers I use, but whnever I try a pink/grey combo I get sludge brown. It might be easier with coloured pencils, I haven't tried yet. I've tried a layer of pink marker over metallic pen but the metallic ink sucks up all the colour. Weird. o_o

Cockroach legs? I thought cockroaches' legs were more... well... bug-like. They were meant to resemble metallic screws, but they were tricky to draw so perhaps the resemblance isn't that great.

Oops, I should've mentioned in the info section, Coqetwirl are female only... the shiny versions are blue, though. :)
