Dragon Plains of Crystania

Another illustration for my fanfiction (which has made progress on Fanfiction.net, but not here). This is Ashram's group that has to journey past the mountains of Crystania in order to defeat the dragons that would torch any village they would try to build.

Luckily, they happen to have a student of Dragon Lore in their party, an OC of mine named Elensar. He's Pirotess' cousin and he gets on her nerves a LOT. He brings out the crazy side in her as opposed to her normal cool, calm side.

Ashram just puts up with their bickering because he has pretty much no one else to have in his party, he likes Pirotess, and hey, they've had a hard time anyway. In his mind, he has enough faults to cover all of them, and he has no right to criticize.

Anyway, this was originally just going to be a line art and then I was going to computer-color it. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depends how you look at it), I went a little overboard with the background and don't think I'll be able to color it now. So that's why Pirotess, Ashram, Hobb, and Elensar aren't shaded - I was going to do that in the color job. ::shrug:: Eh, well.

I sort of like this, but Pirotess doesn't look like Pirotess. Ashram is... okay. Elensar is passable because he doesn't have a real Anime counterpart anyway. But my favorite in this drawing by far is Hobb, which is really funny. I've never drawn him before, and he just makes me laugh. I dunno. This is also the first time I've ever drawn anybody with full out facial hair. It looks kinda weird. ::shrug::
