Knuckles the Echidna - Weathered and Wise

Wise beyond his years and extremely superstitious, Mathias was the father of Guardian Hawking (Hawking himself would be the Guardian to send the dingoes and the echidnas into separate zones when a nuclear missile from the dingoes threatened to annihilate both races). Extremely traditional, he would readily put the position of Guardian above his own family, despite how much he loved his wife, Mikah-Li. Since the death of his own father, Dei Gratia, he has taken over caring for his ailing grandfather and great-grandfather, Argyris and Aniketos. Because of the losses he has suffered, he values his family and the Brotherhood quite strongly more than ever.<br />

Mathias is an official character, mentioned as the father of Hawking, but as I'd never seen any actual pictures of him, I decided to put some design-work into him myself (given that I have a backstory for Spectre in the works, it only makes sense to know who the Guardians alive during his youth were). I like how he came out, to be honest... he has a sort of wise air, and he looks elderly! :3<br />
