I drew this as a gift for my boyfriend. He's obsessed with all kind of dinosaurs, so I thought he might like this.
This was completely out of my comfort zone, since I don't draw dinosaurs that often (or any other animals for that matter), plus I don't like make detailed pictures. Still it was kind of fun to do, tho I am not going to draw anything like this for a looooooong time. This was enough.
I used ink for the linearts and colored the picture with watercolors.

duuude. i whole heartedly encourage you to push out of that comfort zone more often, because this is striking! you have a fantastic grasp for color and detail and the depth in the scales is fantastic. especially to have used watercolors!Cyanide on March 22, 2016, 4:01:20 PM

That's beautiful. Very intimidating beastie, lovely richness of color, nice texture details, and the grey-blue in the sky goes well with the blue in the lower neck and mouth scales. :) I hope he loves it!
