The second of my illustrations for Kingdom Hearts: Rebirth of the Simulacrum Chapter 4: Erosion of Light. (http://orderxiii.livejournal.com/3386.html)
The title doesn't really make sense 'til after you read that part in the chapter, but I think it's clever. A bit darker than it ought to be, but fitting I suppose. Anyhow, I can't say much more, as this illustration is from near the end of the chapter, and it will be a tad spoilery to explain.
For those of you who are not familiar with KH: Simulacrum, it's a post-game fic concerning what happens to Roxas, along with other important figures from the game. Accompanying him on his journey is Rinoa Heartilly of FF8 fame, and together they search for things lost, and find friendship, adventure, and amazing new worlds. Well, new to the KH series anyway.

Falling to her knees, Rinoa whispered, “Let it be over. Do it.”
He took a ragged breath and tightened his grip on the Oblivion. Still kneeling beside him, Rinoa reached up and latched on to his injured arm, the force of the grasp sending a throbbing pain up to his shoulder. “I did this…” she started to sob, pressing his hand against her forehead.
