Purple

This took waaaay longer than it should have. Had I ONE free evening this week, I could have completed this in about two hours-- but alas, I did not, and so, the process stretched out for about a week. Also, that purple glow around him, which also took a lot longer than it should have, has been dubbed: the glowing purple aura of gay.

This, boys and girls, is a character created for my friend, Jesse. I'm considering naming him Yofiel, after the angel of divine beauty (so I've heard). I think Yofi would be a cute nickname, too xD Absolutely adorable. Anyway, as my friend Jesse, off of whom this picture is based, is gay, I decided to make his character the man-friend of my cutie-crossdresser boy, Lola. A one page comic on that will be coming up soon, if I could ever finish that last frickin' panel.
So those spear things.... Well, basically, I've been on a Yu Yu Hakusho obsession lately (my goodness, I would have Kurama's children), and I pretty much ripped off the idea of "energy weapons" from there. I'm not ashamed. I'm not gonna claim the idea as my own. Basically, the only difference between Yofiel's energy spears and Kuwabara's energy sword is that Yofiel can manipulate his energy into a number of different weapons-- as I've always been of the opinion that a person possessing just one ability is somewhat lame.

I do wonder if anyone has noticed yet my cheap method of avoiding drawing legs. I honestly hate drawing legs with a burning passion. To me, legs are more difficult than hands. I'm not sure how they even work... and at least with hands, I can use my own as references. But anyway, viewers may notice that with characters that have tails, weapons or some sort of pretty border/background, I will shamelessly manipulate these elements to cut off the picture at the legs to avoid drawing them. I'll have to get over that soon... *le sigh*
