Self Portrait

this is a really good picture. i have tried to do self portraits of myself and well ~_~ yeah didn't come out so well.
but if you look alot like this then that a big thumbs up

hehe, thanks! yeah, self portraits are reaalllly hard to do. for me its because im more used to drawing anime.

i suppose i look a little like this, i wouldnt say completely....i find faces to be really hard to do because everyone has a different face, which makes it hard to get that unique look that we all have.

This looks great!!! I mean,I don't think I could give the best opinion on whether it resembles you without actually seeing you, but as a drawing, you have done VERY well! The proportions look great, & You really did a great job putting life into the eyes. Something that can be very difficult to do. If you wanted to get really critical, the hair could have a bit more life in it, just by adding some lighter & darker areas to suggest texture, but like I said, that's just getting critical. Excellent work! I think this is my favorite out of the three. ^v^ By the way, you look very pretty! ^v^

lol thanks so much! i had a hard time with the proportions of the face, the chin was originally much lower, but my face isnt really that long so i had to do a lot of eraseing there. also when i showed my grandparents this pic, they mentioned to me that i needed to show a little more of the cheek bone on my right side, or left side of the pic(and i fixed that before i uploaded it). as for the hair i didnt know how to show shine so i tryed making darker streaks to try and bring out highlights, but im not sure it worked very well.

You're welcome! I agree, proportions, especially for a more realistic style can be terribly difficult. You did a great job balancing them out. ^v^ & you did do a very good job with the hair. & yes, it's pretty tough to figure out just how to bring out the highlights. but you did do a good job giving it texture. ^v^ Keep up the good work! ^v^ Feel free to let me know if you'd like my opinion on any other pics.
