This is my fist attempt at realism ever, and it happened completely by accident. I just started drawing the eyes and it kind of got out of hand...

It's one of few drawings that are actually based on a photo. It was an advertisement for makeup, in this month's issue of Seventeen magazine (at least it's good for something) It wasn’t the model’s face that I liked. Rather it was her startling eyes and the soft dark shadows. As for her face...its only flaw is that it is flawless.

Done with very dark messy graphite pencils. I hope you like it!

zakumanI need to get my hands on some of these pencils. It'd really up the anti on my semi-realistic pics. Well it's good for a first try. The volume is there... along with the nice contrast.

dremanontopppTHIS IS A NICE FIRST ATTEMPT AT DRAWING A REALISTIC FACE.I REMEMBER MY FIRST TRY ALONG TIME AGO I TRIED TO DRAW MY FRIENDS GIRLFRIEND HE TOLD ME HER HEAD LOOKED LIKE A CANTALOPE SO THIS FIRST ATTEMPT WAS BETTER THAN MINE NOW I WOULD LIKE YOU TO TRY ANOTHER ONE BECAUSE YOU LIKE MYSELF IN MY BEGINNING STAGES ARE GOOD AT EYES AND THAT IS THE KEY TO GRABBING A PERSONS ATTENTION WITH REALISM.I WILL BE CHECKING BACK SOON IF YOU GET TIME TO DO ANOTHER REALISTIC PIC LATER!

unfocusedHer eyes are good, and her lips are beautiful. Shading is the quality I love best in art, I say that alot too! Value really makes a picture. And this one is excellent.

KotokoPlumWow! Really good. The fingers look a bit skinny, but overall, great job.
