Description
This is just a quick drawing of an old character, Adelaide. She embodies the day while her sister, Ophelia, symbolizes the night Though Adelaide is quite reserved and can sometimes come off as a bit indifferent to those around her. I haven’t figured much out when it concerns their back stories; I just have a couple snippets left over from long ago.
Supposedly Adelaide was the daughter of a king and one of the palace servants. Her stepmother managed to do away with Adelaide’s mother, but the girl’s father wouldn’t let any harm come to her. So, Adelaide lives with her half-sister, Ophelia, but isn’t treated as full royalty.
Anyway, I really like her dress. It was a design I have been playing around with for the past couple of months. However you can’t really see the contrast in colors Some parts of the fabric were supposed to be pink; it mostly appears to be red now.
The background was slapped on there just for show. I should have taken more time, but I became impatient I’ll draw a more polished picture of Adelaide sometime in the near future.
