The TARDIS floats outside Space Station DS9, encrusted with ice from some recent misadventure. I can imagine how the conversation will go when 11 hails them!

my son used to have a large modal of that space station which a friend gave him. so this beings back memories, unrelated to the point of the art.
does the Tardis generally go in space? that seems unusual to me.

It does sometimes, although not always. Whether because it's acting up and not going where it's Supposed To, or because there is A View Of Something Cool without a habitable planet nearby to land on - or, technically, anytime it lands of a space ship/space staion it's in Space, yeah? :) It can go almost anywhere - granted Anywhere is in our dimension, coordinates are known, and it's behaving that day - and a lot of Anywhere isn't planetside, yeah? :)

I agree, I don't doubt it CAN go in space...jsut doesn't mostly. but you are right, there are a few reasons for taking the Tardis into space I guess.
