Although it's a random little off-shoot of mythology that isn't mentioned too often, some myths say that Persephone grew to love Hades. I was hoping to kinda capture the changing moment when she decided he might not be so bad.

okay this is a great picture and very nicely detail . but sometimes its not the skill and detail sometimes its the view. i mean it ands most of the purpouse when there detail such as yours. very good. although i pictured them looking more like 40 or so not 18 and 20. very good

I'm glad you like the details and whatnot. I know I don't take the classical approach to their appearances... but that's all the artistic liberties, no? Or at least that's my excuse for being lazy and unable to draw different age groups. And the beard bit. He always has a beard in old art... and I don't like beards.
