I've had this thing about pushing myself to fill pages recently. All the ideas I've been envisioning have involved filling an entire page with...uh...stuff. It's crazy, but I think I need to try and go a bit bigger and bolder. Hopefully I might learn some more about drawing.

"Hey G, that perspective looks a bit off."

Well spotted. I didn't use a ruler for this. Everything was done freehand. I hate measuring perspective. It starts making things too technical, so I just did it all by hand. I know it's not right, but I'm comfortable with my laziness on this one.

If you don't recognize him, this is Gorilla Grodd. A super intelligent gorilla that...likes to EAT SUPERHEROES! D: I just finished reading a comic where he captured Batman and was starting to cook him so that he could eat him. Oh my...but sometimes he doesn't even cook them first.

He's a naughty gorilla.

supergirlcomixHuzzur!!! DETAIL!!!! I love the cracks in the stone wall....(as well as the WHOLE WALL)I adore the vines, as well as his throne design. (Pretty Pretty...I wish I had a chair that cool.)I love his monkeyness, with the furry and the fangs....and his FEET! The pose makes his seem smart, even though he...eats people. (But you'd have to be smart in order to catch a hero to eat...so...yay!) That boot loos surprisingly like it belongs to the flash...wasn't he fast enough? T_T Ha ha ha

G76The boot looks a bit like The Flash. D: But I just meant it to be a generic superhero-y type of boot. And then when I finished I looked at it and thought "That looks like The Flash. OH NO! NOT THE FLASH!" Grodd doesn't do a lot of the catching. He has an army of Gorilla soldiers that fight and capture superheroes, or just beat them up enough so that they can't put up a fight when Grodd steps in.

Thank you so very very much. =) <3

Trinity_FireOH MAN OH MAN OH MAN
This is amazing. Okay, first off, amazing gorilla. As per usual. His fuzzyness~ if it weren't for the leg and arm, I'd totally think him cuddly-able. X3 And the hands, and particularly, his FEET. WHOA, man. That's mad stuff there. ♥

And then just... HOLY HELL DETAIL.
AND PERSPECTIVE. (/capsabuse)
Seriously, man. It's amazing. And... FREEHAND? Holy crap. I absolutely love the detailing to the steps and chair, and the crumbly-rock wall behind him. Seriously, amazing piece... you HAVE to tell me the secret behind your amazing BGs. *____________*

♥♥♥

G76O_o Give away my secrets? D: Okay...

Uh...well, in the comics there's a place called Gorilla City that has all these buildings made out of stone. Kinda like an old Roman village or something, so that's what I tried to do. I was going to use a ruler and make all those stones in the wall nice and neat...but yeah...too lazy. The steps and chair are a bit of a stock standard for me. Anytime I do something regal-y, I do something like that, or a variation of it. That's about it. It was mostly just instinct. Just a feeling I got from the comics.

And look at all those things you said there. O_o <3 I feel like a damned artist or something. =)
