Okay...It's been three F-ing years almost since I logged into this place-but I found it again. xD Anyway-I figured I'd sign in again and leave a present. My 8th work to go up on here...and-my...err...100 somethingeth work to go up on Deviantart.com. You can find all my other art works at www.daquri.deviantart.com. And yes...Daquri is me, and I am Daquri-so I'm not stealing anyone's art or anything here. ANYWAY-I'll just steal what I said on DA to put here:
The Spell.
The one thing that the Shikon no Tama couldn't give him without danger: Full Youkai Status. It was not a safe choice. It never would have been a safe choice. But this magic gives him so much more.
This spell, imprinted in tattoo form on his back; the main ingredient his own lover's blood, the miko devoted to him eternally, gave him the power and ability to mentally alter his appearence between his three forms: Hanyou, Ningen and Youkai, with but a concentrated thought.
However, as most things go, you can never get something without paying a price. As the law of Alchemy suggests: To obtain something of a certain value, something of equal value must be given in exchange. Here, with this spell-it takes his energy away to draw upon it, so changing form in the midst of a battle is a bad idea. He also nearly lost his life in obtaining this spell's 'gifts,' as the miko blood involved attacked his nerve system, his DNA and his mind to work.
Now the finished product (shown in the midst of all three transformations-all obviously incomplete, just to show all three) has the ability to change form as he pleases. A much better gift for a much easier to handle price than that of the Shikon no Tama's offer.
This was inspired by a recent RP I did with my hanyou-and I hope people like the picture and the idea.
