TeeJay87Nice to see her dressed in the Buccaneer fashion instead of the more popular design. :)

Grok:D  I do have a certain fondness for the Buccaneer style of Pirates.

TeeJay87I assume you enjoyed The Pirates of the Caribbean films with Johnny Depp and Roman Polański's 1986 movie with Walther Matthau and Cris Campion?

Those with Johnny Depp appeal quite much to me.

GrokYou would be correct.

Polański's Pirates movie is a masterpiece. Absolutely love it.

And Captain Jack Sparrow is a wonderful character so well played by Depp. Though maybe thinning out a bit in the latest movies.

I would go back to Errol Flynn and Burt Lancaster for early great pirates.

I even liked the ill-received Cutthroat Island (1995).

Black Sails is not bad.

And speaking of Black Sails we do of course have a number of versions of Treasure Island of variating quality.

TeeJay87Those are also great films to watch. :)

I don't know what's your approach towards video games - I played a couple of those pirate-themed ones:

- Captain Claw https://captainclaw.net/en/index.html from my childhood - difficult, but enjoyable;

- Corsairs: Conquest at Sea https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7FfKbSvWPDU - I liked this one a lot;

- Tropico 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgulQNzjPyI - a bit less enjoyable than Corsairs, but still good.

GrokI used to play a lot of video games way way back. Nowadays I spend more time on making them :) In a very hobbyist way. :D
Don't think I have played any of those. Will have to take a look.

TeeJay87It's that feeling when you begin from enjoying stuff to make them, so others can enjoy those as well. ;)

Anyway, I've also tried myself in the Buccaneer-themed works last year - mostly inspired by Captain Claw:
