Description

Tack the cobbler from The Thief and the Cobbler. After at least 10 years, I just suddenly remembered this movie and had to find it again! XD It looks like an Aladdin rip-off, but it really isn't: they were working on this at least 30 years before Aladdin even came out! It was released as The Princess and the Cobbler, but it was VERY much editted. If anyone cares to, you may watch the "recobbled" version how it was meant to be watched here:

The animation is incredible and is definitely worth watching.

Haha I'm halfway through the movie and it really does seem like an Aladdin rip-off, abliet that Jafar/Zig-Zag talks like a character from Dr. Seuss XD. OMG the hilarity...it's so corny but so cute. As for the drawing, I think you hit the Tack on the head...(waits for laughter- cricket chirps instead) *Ahem!* Well, I should end this comment before it gets too cheesey.

X) Personally I believe the reason it looks so Aladdin-ish is probably because some of the animators that worked on The Thief and the Cobbler went to work on Aladdin. Dr. Seuss... I guess you're right, now that you mention it! XD Although, aside from being blue, there is a difference between the two that I noticed if you hadn't already: Zig-Zag has 6 fingers on each hand. Yeah, I felt like sharin' that 'cause I thought it was interesting.

Finished the movie. I loved how the thief was able to make it completely unscathed through the bowels of the war machiene with his precious golden balls XD And then when they got married, I think Tack took about ten years off my life with that deep scary voice saying "I love you." O_o Seriously, I never expected him to say anything, let alone at that octave. Anyway, loved the move, thanks for the tip ^^

You're welcome. ^___^ I know! He must be the luckiest dude in the universe! I especially liked how he was finally, like, "Aw, screw it!" at the end. XD

Ahh, I think that deep voice was a big joke, making you expect him to have a little quiet voice at least, but NO!! SUPRISE!! XD But I do love that he's mute throughout the movie and that the tack was his "mouth". He's still a little cutie to me and I find it hilarious imagining him talking with that deep voice of his. X)

Again, you're welcome! I love that movie and I'm very happy that the memory of it decided to crash into me when it did. ^__^

Yes, he is adorable ^^ <3 Maybe the reason he's mute most of the time is because he doesn't want to freak people out with his ultra-bass voice XD But yes, he is cute.

Tack: (Whips out a broken shoe and fixes it in 2.5 seconds)

Boss Dude: I see...So, you really want this job?

Tack: (Gazes at him with uber-kawaii eyes)

Boss dude: Okay, you're hired!

(The tack in Tack's mouth lifts in a smile)
