Dana's Comeback - Page 5

"You'll see a lone computer in the middle. Go to it. Type your name in the 12th slot. Leave."

Dana: Heh, for a place that supposed to be 'swarming with employees', there haven't been too many around.

Jeff: What're you doing in here!?

Dana: Well, ya' see I...uh-
Jeff: You weren't trying to knock someone off to put yourself back in the tournament, were you?
Dana: No, I just entered my name in the empty slot...
Jeff: Oh ok! We were wondering when someone would be smart enough to realize there were only 11 winners in round one. I would've put ya' back in if ya' just asked!
Dana: Really?
Jeff: Sure!
Dana: I have another question. Who were my judges?
Jeff: I don't remember their names, but two were Irkens, one was a hedgehog, and the other one was a Danny Phantom person. Does that answer your question?
Dana: Yes... >_O

If you don't get it, let me to explain. Dana never had to be sneaky or avoid anyone. And the judges weren't biased. The stranger lied about that in order to persuade Dana to get back in. Why, you ask? Well, the stranger was a *gasp* self-insert of myself. Since my OC was going to be in the tournament, I went to watch. Saddened that my character lost (not really), I went to do what I did, and of course I had to make things difficult. Where's the fun in having Dana just walk in and asking if she could be added back?

Self-Critique

This comic is a major accomplishment for me! I absolutely love it! I have been working on it nonstop since the 7th. I made a rough draft for each page before working on it too. I wouldn't have been able to do it if it weren't for my brother who got a sudden interest in the contest when I told him about it. He inspired the idea for this and kept nagging at me to finish it. He also helped me with some of the shadowing (1st and 3rd page). Oh, and he made me concept art of the 13th, 19th, and 20th panels since I needed help with those (he likes to make 3D models in his free time). And speaking of that, I drew so many new poses, expressions, objects, and different perspectives that I've never drawn before this. *teary-eyed*

And yeah...I didn't realize I had forgotten to draw Jeff's tail. Oh well, pretend it's behind his back.

P.S: I sadly lost this .5 contest, which means I won't be going to round 2. Man, and after all the work I put into this too... ;-; At least Dana made it to the next round in the comic. Like that matters! *rants*
