my 4 year old grandson's OC Mage Night.
I helped him plug in some digital colors and this is what he chose.

[I forgot to explain the name, we have figures from an old tabletop game called Mage Knight, so he is named after that Game, and he has Night Magic

That suit of armor he's wearing looks like chainmail.

yeah. chainmail takes too long to draw well so I just sort of scribbled it to get the general effect. I'm glad to hear it looks at least a bit like it.

I've developed easy way of drawing chainmail in Photoshop - by using texture looking like mesh made of steel circles. It can easily be multiplied and formed, so the armor looks natural:

Cool...that is a good approach to quick chain mail.
However, I don't have photoshop. I have an apple lap-top and photoshop doesn't work on my operating system. I color in fire alpaca. It might be able to do textures, but I haven't tried....and I don't know how to use textures even on Photooshop anyhow. I'm pretty limited on my digital color program skills.

If that program allows using layers, it should be capable of reading .PSD files and converting them to own format.

I looked and it is able to save into psd so maybe it can also read from psd. I haven't tried it.
