A charocal and graphite drawing of Marilyn Monroe from her early days. This was drawn on a manilla folder to create an "aged photo" look. Please excuse the tiny bit of glare in the picture...my scanner was broken and the flash of my camera reflected a little off the graphite.

Another reason why manilla folders are so great. Don't worry about the glare, even I can't notice it and I've been dealing with glare from my camera on here for years. I always did like her early years pictures the best, wonderful job. Wow.. thats a great technique, the whole manila folder deal. But the surface of those are sort of slick so doesn't the charcoal smudge horribly?Anyway, my god this is awesome. This is some of the best artwork i've seen on this site. I envy you so much, and i think i'll be adding you to favorites now.
