Gunter and Gabriel

I thought these were two interesting characters to compare. The first is Gunter Busch. He's an illiterate German peasant during the Napoleonic Wars. He's in his early thirties and has seven children. The other is Gabriel Badeau, a forty year old Frenchman with no children who is from the Bourgeosie (basically an aristocrat). He is well versed in Greek writing and art. Thanks to his ties with Italy, he was one of the few people in France to escape poverty during the Revolution. They both, however, are very kind.
