Crossroads

Title: Crossroads

The Story:
Yamcha and Bulma have been dating forever…ever since Goku was a kid up until his son was almost that same age. Yamcha, the man once afraid of girls appeared to be afraid of commitment. Eventually Bulma would get tired of all of this and turn her attention elsewhere.

My Take:
A lot of times I like to listen to some old CD’s hoping some ideas will come from that. I happened to find one of my Bone Thugs ‘n Harmony albums, and I heard the track called “Crossroads,” and this is what came of it.

What I Like Most:
I’m surprised with how that “Diana Ross look” that Bulma had came out without much of a problem, I was expecting to have a lot more problems with it than I did. I’m not really great at backgrounds, and this one is no different, however I think it is pretty effective for this effort.

What I Dislike Most:
I tried tweaking the way I did Bulma’s eyes, so they look a little different…they came out ok, but I still prefer the way I did things before. Yamcha gave me a little more trouble than I thought he would…he’s still looking a little odd to me. I guess these things will happen when trying a character for the first time.

Final Thoughts:
For those of you that are new to my drawings, I use a different style than you are used to. This style is most noticeable when I do DragonBall characters. I have nothing against the original style, but I’m not going to try to be someone that I’m not. I want to have a style of my own.
