Wow, I procrastinated with this piece for quite a while. Let's just say it should've been done last weekend but I ended up putting it off another week due to C4 Comic-Con. Sorry about that folks!
Anyway, got the itch to do a pic of good ol' Carnage from the Spidey-Man series :D I thought it'd be fun to do him up in my style, you know, just to see what he'd look like. I started off my doing some practice sketches of him in Science class and went through a few before I found one that fit into my universe. This was the one I chose. His eyes and his mouth both came out very cartoonie and I imagine his eyes moving with his eyebrows under the symbiote to show his expressions. I also wanted to show off his long jaw and how he can make huge roaring angry faces with it C: Another thing I found really enjoyable about working on this was drawing his razor tentacles. In fact, I think they were my fave part of the sketch lol! XD
I think the hardest part of working on this was drawing in all the black veins. It really took a while and that's half the reason I put it off for so long. Very frustrating >_< I copied the vein patterns from this version of Carnage: http://www.rankopedia.com/CandidatePix/5071.gif Although the design I did here also combines a few other versions of Carnage such as the one from the Ultimates and the classic as well. I actually love doing these cuz it gives me an opportunity to take the aspects of an already existing character and rebuild him into my own style. Plus I find it a lot of fun to honor a character you're a fan of an also give them a bit of your own original twist :3
I'll say that the only thing I'm unhappy with about this image is his fisted hand. I'm not sure why exactly but the perspective didn't really turn out the way I wanted it to. Other than that, I'm happy with the outcome.

It may come to an end very soon. We have a guy who is making trouble for us, and if he gets his way he could bankrupt the Center.
