On the Hunt

A Dark Weaver crouches upon the old, fallen tree as he watches his prey. The green ooze for water gurgled as bubbles escaped its surface and waltzed in the air, only to pop and splatter back into the pool.

The Aviel panted, head twisting back and forth as it tried desperately to find a way to escape, finding it only to be a dead-end. The decomposing log upon the ground gave a creak as the weaver shifted, causing the canine to spin around. It's frills flew open in an instant, creating a threatening display of fiery orange. A long tail cracked like a whip as it flicked back and forth, sharp spines glimmering and the fan like tip waving in the air. Paws dug at the ground as its front lowered, teeth bared in a snarl.

The ash-skinned figure hummed in amusement at the display, the glowing purple orbs shining in amusement in his mask's eye sockets. He readied his spear, and the serrated-edged dagger and smiled towards the Aviel. "Come on, then...make your move."
