Okay, here's the thing: You walk up to Vash. He looks at you, then draws his gun. Unbeknownst to you, Knives is standing behind you. Vash wants you to duck, but he's afraid that if he says anything you'll panic and maybe get hurt. So, there. (P.S. I drew this from memory,)
