Introducing, Kel Shadow!

EDIT AS OF 12/17/2010: I have revamped Kel a little bit and edited part of her bio. There are certain changes made to her. These changes have not yet been made in the picture.

After a lot of thought and talking to my lovely sis Maria-chan, I have decided that, every so often, I will post pictures of my own characters.

First, disclaimer time. I referenced this base from DA and drew it by hand. I did NOT TRACE IT. This is the link to it:

Second, picture explanation time. I really liked the pose and thought it would fit Kel well. Also, I don't remember if I posted the older version of this, but I don't think so. I drew this picture a year ago this month and recently decided to recolor it. I hope my coloring style has improved, yes? Also, one of my inspirations for her came from Raven from Teen Titans, so that's where the diamond came from and it too is a birthmark.

Third, bio time. Some of you may remember Kel from when I used to post pictures of her, but I'm going to assume most of you have not. I do have some pictures for friends with her in them in my gallery, however, those are rather old and not up-to-date. I will now follow with a short bio.

Please note that in my fanfic, I've twisted the YGO series a ton 'cause I hate dueling, so things that I have listed for Kel might not be very good canon.

Name: Kel Shadow
Age: 17
Height: 5'5" - 5'6"
Race: Half-elven, half-Egyptian
Family: Atem is her father, Galadrian (my character) is her mother, anyone on Atem's side of the family is related to her, whereas Galadrian has family that I haven't revealed to anyone yet. Atem's cousin Seth (past Seto) has a twin brother who also has a son. Those two are my main antagonists.
Love Interest: Thief King Bakura/Yami Bakura/Nahkti Bakura/whatever else you want to call him, I refer to him as Bakura, which means she's no longer paired with Ryou Bakura. ImmortalShipping has switched to KelXBakura
Ka: None. She doesn't have one because of both her mixed races and because she's a Shadow Magician (that's the basics, but it has lots of boring backstory that I'm too lazy to type out)
Items:
Crystal - a golden teardrop-shaped crystal with a lotus flower adorning the center, harnesses the ability to communicate mentally with others, mainly those who have high levels of magic, like the Millennium Item users, and the ability to access/manipulate/share/etc memories.
Short Background:
- She is half-elven, which makes her immortal, so she'll forever be 17.
- When she was three-six months old (I don't remember if I actually picked an age), she was marked as a "prophecy child" and Slifer the Sky Dragon was tattooed around her midsection. His wings expand the lower portion of her shoulder blades, so she never wears anything naval bearing or anything too low around her upper back.
- Her mother "passed away" (she actually just returned to her homeland) when Kel was 3
- On her 6th birthday, she received the Crystal.
- When she was 8, Edofu Nataan (my main antagonist and Atemu's cousin) kidnapped her, during that time, his stolen Ka (The Black Dragon, formerly known as Tanto, the Dragon of Light) attacked her when she tried to escape at the age of 9 so she has a matching set of three long scars on her upper arms
- She escaped from Nataan two years later and returned home to find her father had passed away and Seth was unable to take her in
- Instead, the Elemental Magicians took her in and she became the elemental Shadow Magician (this also has lots of backstory, so just go with me here)
- Nataan comes to the Magician's Temple so she has to run from Nataan. There's lots more boring backstory here, so just go with me.
- Eventually, she meets Yugi and gang and becomes Joey and Yugi's foster sister, which makes her Serenity's as well
- Kiara (another OC of mine) and Ryou become her best friends and she gradually gets to know and love Bakura

Unfortunately, it's currently on hiatus because I got stuck, but feel free to R&R (read and review) anyway.

The sequel is Undomiel (unwritten, obviously, and I stole the title from LOTR, one of my ultimate fav movies if you couldn't tell) which deals with Kel's mother's side of the family.

After that comes . . . the second generation things. So far, there's only one book for that entitled "Of Black and Light" but there might be another one, I haven't decided yet. In the future, she marries Bakura and they have three kids: Amane and Dhamen, the twins, and Atina. Some of you may remember pictures of them, which is great. I might post more of them eventually.

Sorry that was so long, I hope all viewers and commenters bothered to read this 'cause I would be sad if you didn't. Just be glad it's this length because she has TONS of backstory.

Anyway, I'll shut up now 'cause that's REALLY LONG.
