Kel's Mother, Galadrian Garanon

Hey all, I decided to post again. Unfortunately, this isn't the latest of my art. That will come later.

I drew this picture in the back of my seminary journal in August of 2009. I colored it later in the year, but I can't remember when for sure.

This is Galadrian Garanon, Kel's mother. But before I talk about her, let's talk about the picture itself first. I know she looks young--she's meant to be that way. She happens to be immortal, so she retains her youth-like appearance. The personality you see up there is the personality she portrays during her time with Atem. The background represents her homeland of Ellendria (the Elven Realm) and her new home of Egypt. That's about it.

As for Galadrian, I've included a small bio here so you can get to know her a little more.

Name: Galadrian Garanon
Age: I haven't decided yet since she's immortal
Height: 5'5"
Race: Elven
Family: Galadhram is her father, Garanon is her mother, and Ganandrion is her older brother. Her parents are the current rulers of Ellendria. Originally, Ganandrion was the heir to the throne, however, since his fiance died while he was away at war, her line became the heir, which makes Kel heir to the throne.
Love Interest: Pharaoh Atem and their shipping is entitled RoyalShipping
Ka: Elven Healer (lame name, I know)
Short Background:
- When Galadrian was 12, she left Ellendria, escaped to Egypt, and changed her name to Maya. A family takes her in and she meets Atem, who is also 12.
- To go along with society back then, Galadrian and Atem get married when they're both 13 and Galadrian gets pregnant (my apologies if you think that's weird, but that's how it was back then).
- Just before Galadrian turns 14 and after Atem turns 14, Kel is born.
- When she "died," she simply returned to her homeland of Ellendria. Nataan attacked her and tried to kill her (he failed because she's an elf), which angered Garanon. In her anger, Garanon summoned her daughter and bound her to Ellendria so she couldn't leave. Galadrian was 17 at the time.
- She returns to Egypt when it's time for Atem to leave for the afterlife and she goes with him with a last plea to Kel to seek after her Elven heritage. That's also where she reveals to Kel that she is an elf.
Interesting Character Development Fact: When Kel was my universal OC, Galadrian used to be the younger sister of Galadriel from Lord of the Rings.
