New Mascot Design for FAC

Description

I decided to give my idea for the mascot redesign and I hope that this will qualify. Instead of paint on Pheral's tail, I decided that it would be better if it looked like a paintbrush. He is sketching Sam if you can't tell and I made her flag/banner come to life. I feel that that isn't a strong point of my pic unfortunately. If anyone has any suggestions on how to make it better, please tell me. Comments are appreciated.

good job (this is constructive critism) but make the paw without the pencil in it more straight. sorry if this sounds mean =(
