Cool, but may I just point out that Bartimaeus didn't change what he was or who he was, he just aquired different names.

hey, I said it was a fic I didn't write yet, of course I know he aquired different names. In my story, Ptolemy was the reincarnation of Xokoma, Rekhyt's sister, and that's why he was so interested in Bartimaeus and his world. To become slave of the magicians, Rekhyt passed by the same gate Ptolemy did, but he didn't return, and since he already had the capacities of a djinni, he remained in the other place, forgot he was Rekhyt, and he became what he is, Bartimaeus.
