This was done with RoseArt crayons! They are cheap (like super cheap) and they are not the best, but they have an interesting texture. Warning though, make sure not to wear your best outfit when messing with this. I used a penny as well to help with the saturation of the crayong before re-working the colors.
It started off as just a mermaid-study character, but then I started to do other things. Next thing I know, I'm doing this piece for the contest in the end! Check it out~

Oh my god you have no clue how much I cursed at the stupid crayons while using them for not doing what I wanted them to do! Though the background, they always turn out the way they do cause I honestly don't know what to do with them (imma cry) and I just start doing lines until something happens :P Thank you so much for the compliment though!
